Catherine Bradley

Unlike many of my colleagues, I never really had horses with hoof problems that inspired me to become an EP.  For me, it was a case of being fed up with telling my music students “F#” a hundred times a day!

I knew I needed a new career before I turned into the crazy old piano teacher with twenty cats, and stumbled across the Equine Podiatry Training Ltd website one night.  I compared it with various other hoof-related courses and was instantly hooked!  I applied that night and have never looked back.

I absolutely love my work as an EP.  I love the challenges involved with hoof pathologies, and the joy of trimming some really ‘good’ feet too.  I am the resident EP at Munchkins Miniature Shetland Rescue in East Devon, and find it really hard not to come home with a pony or three each Monday!  Munchkins gives me a great opportunity to develop close working relationships with other equine professionals, which is really interesting and enlightening.

I have an elderly Arab mare, two gypsy cob geldings and a shire mare (who does have an interesting hoof pathology).
