I was looking for a way to maintain my own horses feet and found KC's website and enrolled on a three day trimming course which gave me the knowledge to trim my own horses.  I was at art college at the time and did not see trimming as a career choice but a means to improve my own horses feet.

When I graduated from art college I worked with horses part time whilst looking for full time employment.  The longer I worked with horses the more I realised this was what I wanted to do.  I registered as self-employed and worked locally exercising horses, preparing them for shows etc.  I got enquiries from my customers on how I was able to event my horse barefoot and this led me to the start of the journey to becoming an Equine Podiatrist.  Now that I am qualified I can offer this service to my customers who wish to improve the health of their horses feet and their general well-being.
