Training and Qualification Standard
This document forms the Equine Podiatry Association’s training and qualification requirement for membership.

Associate Membership is open to anybody who has an interest in Equine Podiatry, whether professional or personal. Associate membership will be denied to those who have demonstrated that they do not support the aims of the Association. The Council also reserves the right to cancel membership if the Associate Member conducts themselves in any way that may be deemed harmful to the EPA(UK) or its members.
Student Membership is open to any applicant who is currently engaged in training to become an Equine Podiatrist on a course that is recognised by the Association.
Training courses that are currently recognised are:
- Course Title: Lantra Awards Level 5 Diploma in Equine Podiatry
Course Provider: Equine Podiatry Training Ltd
Any EP who has been a member of the EPA(UK) continuously since 1st June 2007 and has maintained their record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is entitled to maintain Full Member status.
Any previous Full Members who have allowed their membership to lapse are entitled to apply for re-admission using the criteria set out in item 20. of the Membership Rules.
Any new candidate wishing to join the EPA(UK) as a Full Member must hold an approved qualification in Equine Podiatry. Courses approved by the Equine Podiatry Association are as follows:
- Qualification: Lantra Awards Level 5 Diploma in Equine Podiatry

The Equine Podiatry Association (UK) membership rules apply to all members.
