Training and Qualification Standard for the Equine Podiatry Association (UK)

These Rules are made in accordance with the Articles of Association and relate to the training/qualification requirements for specific classes of membership.
Student Membership
Student Membership is open to any applicant who is currently engaged in training to become an Equine Podiatrist on a course that is recognised by the Association.
Training courses that are currently recognised are:
- Course Title: Lantra Awards Level 5 Diploma in Equine Podiatry

Full Membership
Any person who has been a Full member of the EPA(UK) continuously since 1st June 2007 and has maintained their record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is entitled to maintain Full Member status.
Any new candidate wishing to join the EPA(UK) as a Full Member must hold an approved qualification in Equine Podiatry. Qualifications currently approved by the Equine Podiatry Association are as follows:
- Qualification: Lantra Awards Level 5 Diploma in Equine Podiatry

The Association will consider for approval appropriate qualifications at Ofqual Level 5 or above.
Details of the requirements to re-join as a Full member where the candidate is a Sabbatical member, Retired member or lapsed Full member are set out in the Membership Rules.
